About the role…
You will manage administrative functions to ensure the efficient delivery of specific projects. This includes handling all event enquiries from start to finish, providing excellent customer service, converting enquiries into contracted business, managing payments, and liaising with clients to plan and finalize event details. You will also issue function sheets to the operational team and provide leadership, motivation, and support to your team of event coordinators.
About you…
You should have previous sales experience in a large hotel or conference venue and familiarity with systems such as Salesforce, DEPHI, and Opera. A passion for sales and a strong desire to succeed are essential. You are passionate about customer service and motivated to grow and develop. Ideally, you will have:
* A drive for sales generation, networking, building reputation, and identifying new opportunities within social and corporate markets
* Knowledge of sales and events management in a hotel environment
* Experience in developing proactive sales campaigns that impact revenue immediately
* Confidence and ability to influence senior management
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* Understanding of yield management
* Experience as a Meeting & Events Sales Office Manager or similar role
* Knowledge of OPERA PMS and S&C systems is desirable
* Previous senior sales and events experience
