We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cambridge, starting as soon as possible. As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that support children’s academic, social, and emotional development. You will foster curiosity, independence, and positive learning behaviours, while ensuring all pupils, including those with SEND and English as an additional language, have access to a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS lessons across all areas of learning Promote early literacy, numeracy, and phonics development Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners Encourage independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours Maintain a structured, safe, and stimulating classroom environment Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other EYFS staff Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback Observe, record, and assess children’s progress accurately Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote pupil welfare The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching in an EYFS or Early Years setting Be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and child wellbeing Work collaboratively as part of a professional team The school is located in Cambridge, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
