We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our Natural Resources team, working on projects in the Thames Valley region (North). In this role, you will support various projects on the Thames Water WAAP Programme, helping deliver project requirements for both above and below ground assets at our Horton-cum-Studley and Princess Risborough wastewater sites.
Location
Working from the Horton-cum-Studley site in Oxfordshire and Princess Risborough, Buckinghamshire.
Contract
Permanent, Full-Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available upon request.
Responsibilities
As a Section Engineer in our NRNN Water business unit, you will support engineering and technical coordination of site works, ensuring construction activities align with design, project goals, and standards. You will bridge the gap between design and construction, providing engineering leadership within the Thames Water wastewater portfolio in the Thames Valley region.
* Act as the main technical adviser on-site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
* Interpret design documentation and ensure works follow approved drawings and specifications.
* Support construction teams with technical queries, resolve design conflicts, and promote value engineering.
* Manage and coordinate temporary works designs and approvals in line with site requirements and schedule.
* Monitor and record construction progress, providing technical input for project reporting and planning.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal if you have:
* A Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in civil, mechanical, electrical, or related engineering disciplines, with a CSCS and SMSTS card.
* Experience in civil engineering or construction, particularly within the water sector.
* A full UK driving license.
