KUASAR UK Ltd. was established in Glasgow on January 9, 2025, by three Turkish Naval Architects with over 25 years of experience in naval and civil marine projects. The founding partners also own KUASAR MARIN Engineering Inc., a well-established Turkish company that has been active for a decade, specialising in the naval, civil marine, and yacht sectors.
KUASAR UK Ltd. was founded to deliver high-quality design, engineering, and consultancy services to the UK’s Offshore, Civil Marine, and Naval industries. By leveraging the extensive expertise and technical know-how of its founders, the company aims to contribute to the sector with innovative and practical solutions. In its early stages, KUASAR UK Ltd. will benefit from the experience and resources of KUASAR MARIN, while progressively building its own team and expanding its operational capacity within the UK.

Role Description
Ship Structure Designer shall have a full-time job based in our Glasgow Office. He/she will work closely with the Company Director, with the Technical Manager and/or with the Project Leader, with the founding partners and with the other company/companies collaborating. The total working hours will be 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week.
Key Responsibilities
•Ship structural design and calculations according to relevant Classification Society rules or similar standards. This responsibility includes self-development in rules, standards, and techniques in relation to structural design that the project/the contract requires.
•Preparing structural reports and plans to be submitted to Class Society and/or other approval authorities defined by the contract. Correcting and/or revising these documents and drawings as the Class Society and/or approval authority requires for approval.
•Preparing the 3-D Structural Model for production and generating Manufacturing Data Package (MDP) category data, drawings and related documentation. This also includes manufacturing support designs like jigs, templates, bending utilities, temporary reinforcements, lifting eyes, etc.
•Providing design assistance/support to production at the site as required by the customers for production preparations, production, quality control and testing.
•Attending technical meetings to represent the company for structural design issues
•Attending other relevant events as required to increase professional knowledge, to represent the Company, etc.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should:
•Be based in Glasgow or nearby areas with practical daily commuting options.
•Have a degree in Naval Architecture or a relevant engineering discipline,
•Be eager and diligent for self-development in structural design and CAE/CAD/CAM softwares
•Preferably have shipbuilding project and/or ship structural design experience.
•Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent the company effectively.
