Speedwell Court is a beautiful, purpose built home that provides an exclusive setting and high quality residential and Dementia care to its elderly residents. Staff are committed to looking after the health and wellbeing of residents. This includes providing a range of activities to get involved with, serving delicious, nutritious meals and providing a high standard of care and support to residents.
The Role:
40 contracted hours per week, this will include alternate weekend shifts.
Shift times are 9am-3pm/9am-6pm.
Duties include, but not limited to:
* Providing our residents with a warm inviting welcome
* Taking meal orders, ensuring that any allergies are communicated to the kitchen
* Preparation of beverages including a selection of hot drinks
* Efficient serving of food and clearing of tables, ensuring the restaurant cleanliness is maintained
* Spending time getting to know the residents, their dietary requirements and preferences
Our ideal candidates will have the following qualities:
* An excellent communicator, understanding the needs of older people
* Active listening skills, to be thorough and pay attention to detail.
* Able to lone work and collaborate with staff as one team
* Proactive, organised, with great time management, taking pride in what you do
* The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
Starting hourly rate: £12.21.
