Here is what you can expect to be doing: Brookhouse Aerospace is seeking a skilled and motivated CMM Programmer / Inspector to join its Quality / Metrology team. The role is crucial for ensuring manufactured aerospace components meet strict dimensional and quality standards by programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines and related inspection tools. The successful candidate will help maintain high precision, uphold inspection standards, and work with production and quality teams to resolve dimensional non‑conformities. Key Responsibilities: Develop and write CMM programs using metrology software such as PC‑DMIS (or equivalents); also program portable CMMs / FARO arms or similar where applicable. Perform inspections of first‑off, in‑process, and final manufactured components to check adherence to engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D model specifications. Generate detailed inspection reports summarising measurement results, non‑conformities and dimensional issues; provide feedback to Production and Quality teams. Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the measurement equipment (CMMs, auxiliary tools like micrometres, height gauges etc.) is in good working order and within documented calibration status. Interpret technical engineering drawings / CAD models, applying knowledge of tolerances, geometric dimensions and tolerancing (GD&T). Participate in First Article Inspections, batch inspections, and dealing with inspection documentation as per aerospace standards. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to resolve dimensional or process issues. Support continuous improvement in inspection processes, reporting tools, procedures and the metrology strategy. Train or assist other staff / operators in measurement best practices or operation of inspection equipment as necessary. A few things about you: Relevant engineering qualification Minimum 3 years of experience in dimensional inspection or CMM programming in aerospace or precision engineering When you are working: 4-day week Monday to Thursday 07:15 am to 5:00 pm totalling 37 hours weekly.
