We are looking for Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to work alongside an integrated mental health team based at HMP Humber.
Imagine being part of an organisation whose common purpose is to help those who are severely impacted by mental illness. We believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity – and that’s why equity is one of our core values. We draw on the expertise, unique perspectives and lived experience of our people – regardless of who they are or their background – to help us become inclusive and anti-racist employer, campaigning organisation and service provider that reflect the diverse communities we support as a mental health charity.

This includes providing guided self-help in both 1:1 and group formats, in line with the current Step 2 guidelines.
Typically for a trainee, the role will see you in base 4 days per week and attending University 1 day per week, although this ratio can vary throughout the academic year and dependent on the University attended. 100% Attendance at the university is mandatory and there is a high volume of academic work within the training year.
Upon completion of the University course and the Rethink Mental Illness Probationary Period, you will automatically move to a permanent qualified position on AfC Band 5 with associated terms and conditions. (A permanent position is only guaranteed if you are successful in achieving the University course).
