About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them, with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your responsibility will be to maintain a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment. Whether you're managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning tasks, you will do so with a sense of kindness and attention to detail.
HC-One is looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although we will provide comprehensive training. You should have excellent time management and organizational skills. Your positive energy, natural ability to get along with people, and effective communication skills—both listening and instructing—are essential. You will communicate with residents and colleagues considerately and kindly.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and seek advice or escalate concerns as needed.
We offer full training and a range of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with support for qualifications
* GP online service for round-the-clock consultations, available to you and your children under 16
* Learning from experienced colleagues within a supportive team
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Confidential Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
* Recognition schemes like ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Referral bonus scheme up to £1000 per successful referral
We are committed to inclusivity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to join our HC-One family. We aim to provide a smooth onboarding process, from job offer to first day.
