Company Overview:
Our client is a leading UK provider of remanufactured power steering, hydraulic, and mechanical components, specialising in serving various industries including military vehicle systems.
Responsibilities:
* Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and mechanical components/systems, including military equipment such as hydraulic kits from Warrior vehicles and CRARRV & Warrior winches.
* Perform mechanical disassembly of worn parts, conduct inspections, and rework to rectify faults.
* Assemble hydraulic and mechanical components.
* Conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic testing of rebuilt components.
* Assist in medium volume production work, including assembly and testing of new hydraulic cylinders.
* Collaborate with the Engineering Department to develop and implement repair/remanufacturing processes for new and existing products.
* Continuously improve processes and working practices.
* Provide training to junior staff on new and existing product lines.
Experience Required:
* High level of experience in an Engineering/Production environment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics.
* Proficient in identifying repair solutions for a wide range of hydraulic and mechanical components (e.g., pumps, hydraulic cylinders, winches, brake units).
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability to perform root cause analysis.
* Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
* Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Ex-forces engineers are encouraged to apply.
Note: This is not an entry-level position. Previous experience as a Hydraulic Technician or similar role is required.
Additional Details:
* Full-time position, 39 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Friday 8:30am-4pm).
* Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate.
