High-Level Teaching Assistant (HI TA) with BSL
We are seeking an experienced and passionate High-Level Teaching Assistant (HI TA) with British Sign Language (BSL) proficiency to support students within our Hearing Impairment (HI) Unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in supporting students' learning and communication needs.
Role Details:
* Position: High-Level Teaching Assistant (HI TA)
* Requirement: BSL qualification or strong proficiency
You will work closely with our Hearing-Impaired students, providing tailored support to ensure their learning and communication needs are met. Your expertise in British Sign Language will be key in creating an inclusive environment, enabling students to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students in the HI Unit with learning and communication.
* Assisting teachers with planning and delivering lessons.
* Using BSL to facilitate effective communication.
* Supporting the social and emotional well-being of students.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an HI Unit.
* A recognised qualification in BSL (or strong equivalent experience).
* A genuine passion for working with children with hearing impairments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay rates will include statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency later. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding children and will conduct necessary checks, including DBS verification.
