Role Description
Industry Sector: Plumbing merchants, Plumbers Merchants, Plumbing tools, Pipe Tools, Building Merchants, Building, Plumbing, Plumbers, Heating, Tools & Retail
Area to be covered: North & South Ireland – ideally based Northern Ireland

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Plumbing and Pipe Tools will involve:
* Field based position selling plumbing and pipe tools
* 60% into national and 40% independent plumbers merchants and buying groups
* Ledger responsibility £1.2m
* Typically 5 customer visits per day four days a week (unless conducting a trade morning/ demonstrating the products) work from home on Mondays to set appointments for the week/ administration
* Customers include; PTS, BSS, Heat Merchants and numerous Irish Nationals
* Using social media as a sales tool for the sales region, KPI driven/ commission element (3 x Instagram’s and 3 x LinkedIn posts)
* Ensuring all POS is up to standard
* Demonstrating products to end users
* Work to re-activate non/ low spending accounts
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager– Plumbing and Pipe Tools with:
* Must have sold to plumbers merchants
* Open to a sales person who has worked for a plumbers merchants
* Ability to utilise social media as a sales tool would be a huge advantage
* Field sales experience is preferred, but open to other face to face environments
* Keen, hungry and with an attitude of wanting to learn and progress
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Ability to build and develop lasting relationships with customers
* Plumbing and pipe tools knowledge is not essential
* Self-motivated ‘go-getter’ with a flexible approach
