Due to increasing pupil numbers, Maendy Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work within our mainstream primary setting, delivering high-quality teaching and learning across all areas of the Curriculum for Wales.
Maendy Primary School is a nurturing and caring school at the heart of the community. The school hosts two local authority ALN Resource Bases, a BESD provision, and a Nursery provision. The successful candidate will be joining Maendy Primary at a very exciting time. We moved into our new school building in May last year, a development which has provided us with the opportunity to expand our school family and increase pupil numbers.
We have an exciting opportunity for a class teacher who:
1. Is an inspirational classroom practitioner, who creates the conditions to realise the four purposes for all learners and achieve the best for them in terms of standards, well-being and progress.
2. Recognises the needs of individuals and caters for them accordingly.
3. Demonstrates an appetite for professional learning that impacts upon pedagogy and supports professional growth across our learning community.
4. Is ambitious, eager to develop and will commit to taking on extra responsibility.
5. Is an enthusiastic practitioner, who will work collaboratively with their team and bring innovation and creativity to their practice.
6. Has a detailed working knowledge and understanding of the Curriculum for Wales
7. Is an excellent communicator with high-quality interpersonal skills.
Candidates will be expected to:
8. Work effectively and independently, using your own initiative, as well as being reliable, resilient, flexible and proactive.
9. Effectively work together as a member of our strong team and contribute fully to school leadership team.
10. Work under the guidance of the school leadership
11. Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for whole classes, individuals and groups;
12. Monitor pupils and assess, record and report on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.
