An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Home Manager to manage an exceptional care home based in the Tunbridge Wells area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.
This home offers all types of care, including residential care, nursing care, and respite care for people who need help with daily tasks.
To be considered for this position, you must have experience managing a care home and hold a current active NMC Pin.
As the Home Manager, your key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are delivered to residents by understanding their individual needs, preferences, and interests.
* Leading and managing your team effectively by offering clear guidance, continuous supervision, and support. This includes recruiting, onboarding, and developing staff to maintain a motivated and high-performing workforce.
* Working collaboratively with your Area Manager to meet business goals and maintain compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. Building strong relationships with stakeholders to support continuous improvement in service quality and care delivery.
* Maintaining full commercial oversight of the home, working alongside the Customer Relations Team to sustain optimal occupancy levels through innovative marketing strategies and efficient cost management related to fees and staffing.
* Utilising internal systems to submit regular management reports, covering key performance areas such as occupancy, fee structures, budget adherence, and staffing levels.
* Collaborating with the Hospitality and Maintenance teams to uphold exceptional standards throughout the home, including food quality and presentation, housekeeping, building maintenance, and the care of residents’ personal belongings and clothing.
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
* At least 3 years’ experience as a Registered Care/Nursing Home Manager with CQC.
* Experience and knowledge of working in dementia care.
* A proven track record in management and delivery of high-quality care within a residential setting and financial management planning.
* Proven experience in managing a care team, encouraging, leading, and motivating others.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and care inspectorate standards.
* Passionate, driven, confident, and resilient leader.
* Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to lead, motivate, and inspire your team.
The successful Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of GBP 60,000 - GBP 70,000 per annum. This is a permanent, full-time role working daytime hours. In return for your dedication, you will receive:
