Job Description:
Grassland Agro sources, produces, and sells a complete range of conventional commodity fertilizers, as well as a comprehensive range of specialty fertilizers and soil conditioning products. We are seeking a Regional Sales and Business Development Manager for the Northern Ireland region. The successful candidate will develop long-term relationships with customers and industry stakeholders, reporting to the Speciality Business Commercial Manager. Responsibilities include:
1. Developing and implementing strategic and operational plans to maximize sales and customer service.
2. Enhancing the technical presentation of our products to meet regional needs.
3. Optimizing distribution, operations, and costs.
4. Managing relationships and accounts with trade customers, including product support, customer service, credit control, and debtor management.
5. Overseeing sales administration policies in the region.
6. Supporting and managing the technical sales team, including recruitment, goal setting, and performance management.
7. Motivating the team to achieve sales and service excellence.
8. Promoting company policies on HR, health & safety, pricing, and terms.
9. Contributing to overall company development through active involvement in management and operational teams.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
1. Third-level qualification in Agriculture and/or Business.
2. Proven experience as a sales manager or representative with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
3. Technical knowledge of the agriculture sector.
4. Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills at trade and farm levels.
5. Excellent leadership, mentoring, and people management skills.
6. Effective communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
7. Problem-solving attitude and team-oriented approach.
8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
9. Valid full clean driver’s license.
