Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sales Specialist role based in Hertford. The Sales Specialist will manage and grow a portfolio of hospitality clients, including hotels, restaurants, and other premium venues, through proactive outreach, regular account contact, and tailored product recommendations. Daily activities include responding to inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and providing product information to ensure a smooth customer experience. The role also involves identifying new business opportunities, following up on leads, attending relevant industry events where required, and supporting the development of sales materials and presentations. The Sales Specialist will collaborate closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, while maintaining up-to-date records in the company’s sales systems.
Qualifications
* Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with a diverse, international customer base.
* Proven Customer Service experience, with a focus on building long-term relationships and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
* Demonstrated Sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, closing, and account management in a B2B environment.
* Experience or aptitude in Sales Management or coordinating sales activities, including tracking performance and prioritizing pipelines.
* Ability to deliver Training or product demonstrations to customers and internal team members when needed.
* Previous experience in hospitality, catering supplies, foodservice, or related sectors is advantageous.
* Comfort working in an on-site office environment in Hertford, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Competence with basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM tools) and willingness to learn internal systems.
* Self‑motivated, target‑oriented approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
