Freight Operations Specialist
Location: Worcestershire
Salary: Up to £35,000
Job Type: Full Time Office Based
We are recruiting for an experienced Freight Operations Specialist to join a well-established and growing UK freight forwarder based in the Worcestershire area.
This is a hands-on, start-to-finish role with a strong focus on road freight import and export operations, offering the opportunity to develop into a fully multimodal operator with exposure to air and road freight (full training provided).
The role includes:
* Start-to-finish management of sea, air and road freight import and export shipments
* Handling customs clearance and all associated documentation
* Liaising with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and suppliers
* Arranging final delivery and transport
* Resolving operational issues professionally and efficiently
* Accurate job costing and invoicing
* Supporting air and road freight bookings as part of multimodal development
* Making consultative outbound calls to customers to support service delivery and growth
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in freight operations (imports and/or exports)
* Solid understanding of international freight forwarding processes
* Customs clearance experience
* Confident handling files end to end
* Organised, detail-focused, and customer-driven
