The hourly rate for this role is £12.69 and up to £14.05 across selected locations within London.

Exceptional patient-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you’ll help patients feel good by providing clear advice and a wide range of dispensing services. You will work across the healthcare counter and dispensary to meet patients' needs, offering an opportunity to develop your pharmacy career and make a real difference in patients' lives.
What you’ll be doing day to day
Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, ensuring clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Complying with legal and professional requirements and guidance in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
What you’ll need to have
You should have an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and relevant experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is required; if not completed, support will be provided to complete training within 6 months.
Opportunities for professional development include achieving NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services and registering with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, potentially progressing to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role.
