The Personal Injury department is recruiting for an Associate to join their Leeds office to handle their own caseload of EL/PL matters. Files will primarily be of a fast-track and lower-value multi-track nature, but there will be opportunities to assist with catastrophic loss files.
Your new role
This Personal Injury Associate role will see you:
1. Manage a personal caseload of EL/PL claims from instruction through to resolution.
2. Handle pre‑litigation and litigated matters, ensuring cases progress efficiently.
3. Assist senior colleagues onplex and high‑value claims.
4. Conduct detailed assessment of legal liability, causation and damages.
5. Use the firm’s case management system effectively to meet financial and productivity targets.
6. Contribute to team development and, where appropriate, business development activities.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with proven experience handling casualty claims.
8. Strong background in both pre‑ and post‑litigation work.
9. Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
10. Strong analytical skills with sound judgement on risk and strategy.
11. Experience with case management systems and financial target delivery.
12. Any exposure to Human Rights or data breach matters is beneficial.
