Part-Time (20 hours/week) with Full-Time Growth Potential
About Agora
Agora is a London-based startup redefining how people make friends in real life. Since launching in 2024, we’ve built a fast-growing community of thousands through curated social experiences — dinners, creative workshops, and one-of-a-kind events that help people connect beyond their screens.
We’re now entering our next phase: expanding across the UK, starting with new city launches and a national push.
We’re not just building a social app — we’re creating a movement that helps people belong again.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a creative storyteller who lives and breathes content that feels real — short, fun, authentic videos that make people smile, laugh, or think.
You’ll shape how the world experiences Agora online. From clips that capture the chaos and joy of our events to behind-the-scenes moments and human stories, your job is to make people feel what Agora is about — connection, friendship, and belonging.
This is a part-time role (~20 hours/week) with a clear path to full-time as we grow our creative team.
What You’ll Do
• Ideate, film, and edit short-form content for Agora’s social channels — clips, montages, interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, and fun experiments.
• Turn real moments (often filmed on phone) into high-energy, story-driven videos that make people want to join in.
• Capture the essence of Agora’s community — the laughs, the awkward moments, the warmth, the shared experiences.
• Repurpose event and team footage into snackable stories.
• Edit for impact: strong hooks, sharp pacing, creative transitions, captions, trending audio, and text overlays that draw people in.
• Experiment with new ideas, formats, and storytelling styles — take creative risks, test, learn, repeat.
• Work closely with Agora’s Founder and Marketing Lead to bring stories and ideas to life fast.
🟡 Note: This isn’t a traditional videographer or cinematic editor role. You don’t need fancy equipment or perfect lighting — just an eye for storytelling, great editing instincts, and a sense of what connects with people online.
What You Need to Bring
* A portfolio or social handle that shows the kind of content you’ve made — fun, human, story-led, and engaging.
* Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience!
* Ability to capture great moments with minimal setup — fast, lightweight, real.
* Strong short-form editing instincts:
* Grabbing attention in the first 2 seconds
* Smart use of pacing, text, and sound
* Understanding rhythm, humor, and emotion
* Knowing when something feels right rather than looks perfect
* Awareness of what’s trending across social — not to copy, but to remix and make it yours.
* Creative independence — you can run with an idea and bring it to life quickly.
* Curiosity about people, connection, and culture — you love watching how humans interact.
Who You Are
You’re a natural storyteller who thinks in moments and emotions, not just shots and edits.
You care about how people connect — and you know that great content can spark that feeling.
You might be:
• A creator who loves experimenting with short-form ideas
• A content editor or storyteller who wants more creative freedom
• Someone who loves community, people, and fun
If you’ve ever said, “I just want to make content that actually feels alive,” this is for you.
Interview Process
Step 1: Portfolio Chat / Behavioral Interview— quick call about your creative process and what excites you.
Step 2: Creative Deep Dive! share your ideas, how you approach storytelling, and how you’d bring Agora to life.
Step 3: Creative Jam! collaborate on a mini shoot or edit session to see how we vibe.
Compensation
• Part-Time: £15/hr for ~20 hours/week
• Full-Time Transition: Within 3–6 months (based on fit and performance)
• Full-Time: £33k + 0.1–0.3% equity + benefits

Please send:
• Your TikTok/Instagram handle or content portfolio
