Systems Accountant
Location: Hybrid
Contract: 9 - 12 months
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Systems Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. This is a key role focused on ensuring financial systems and processes are efficient, accurate, and fully optimised to support high-quality reporting and decision-making.
You will take ownership of the finance system, driving improvements, enhancing functionality, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and develop the chart of accounts aligned to reporting requirements
Ensure strong system controls, including approvals and segregation of duties
Deliver training and support to users across finance and the wider business
Document and continuously improve financial processes and procedures
Identify and implement system and process improvements
Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
Work closely with Finance, IT, and system stakeholders to drive improvements
Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution
Build relationships with external suppliers to maximise system performance
Stay up to date with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

* Solid accounting experience (Qualified or QBE)
