JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Temporary Contract (1 Academic year with protentional to extend)
WORKING HOURS: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.45am to 3.15pm, term time only (38 weeks).
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join a growing primary school environment, supporting pupils across Early Years, KS1 or KS2.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will work closely with teachers to deliver curriculum support, assist with classroom management and provide SEN support through small group and one-to-one learning.
The Learning Support Assistant role requires a calm, adaptable and proactive individual who can support behaviour management and help pupils remain engaged and motivated.

Your duties as the Learning Support Assistant include:
~ Support Learning Activities: Assist teachers in delivering lesson plans and classroom activities
~ Provide One-to-One Support: Work with individual pupils, including those with SEN needs
~ Facilitate Small Group Work: Support targeted learning groups to improve pupil progress
~ Promote Engagement: Keep pupils motivated, focused and on task during lessons
~ Support behaviour management in line with school policies
~ Assist with Assessments: Help monitor and review pupil progress and learning outcomes
~ Supervise Pupils: Provide support during breaktimes and lunchtime activities
~ Support Emotional Needs: Build positive relationships and respond to pupil wellbeing needs
~ Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
~ Previous experience working with children in an education or childcare setting
~ Experience supporting pupils with social, emotional or communication needs
~ Ability to support classroom management and behaviour strategies
~ A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classroom environments
~ A calm, patient and supportive approach to working with children
~ Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
One paid day per academic year for personal events
