Are you a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in steel structures? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where no two projects are the same? Ready to take ownership of commercial delivery on complex, large-scale schemes?
We're seeking a motivated QS/SQS to join a specialist subcontractor delivering major steel structure projects. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing costs, contracts, and client relationships on technically challenging works.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing project costs from tender through to final account
* Preparing valuations, variations, and detailed cost reports
* Reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with commercial procedures
* Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project teams
* Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience as a QS or SQS in steel structures (structural steelwork, fabrication, erection, or associated packages)
* Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial processes
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
* Detail-driven, proactive, and commercially focused approach
This is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise to a respected specialist subcontractor, where your contribution will directly shape project success. With a strong pipeline of projects and genuine opportunities for progression, it's an ideal role for an ambitious QS or SQS looking for their next step.
If you're ready to take on challenging steel structure projects, apply today!
