This role is an easy commute for people based in Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Layton, Blackpool, South Shore, Poulton Le-Fylde and Hambleton Accounts Assistant Salary: £30,000- £35,000 Accounts Assistant Hours: 9am-5pm (Monday-Friday) Accounts Assistant Company benefits: -27 Days holiday + Bank holidays - Onsite Parking - Pension Contribution -Proffessional development opportunities Accounts Assistant roles and responsibilities: -Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner -Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies -Assist with bank reconciliations and posting of bank transactions -Maintain and update financial records and ledgers -Support month-end and year-end close processes -Assist with VAT returns. -Prepare payment runs and manage petty cash Accounts Assistant core competencies: -Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role -Good understanding of basic accounting principles -Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage) -Strong attention to detail and accuracy -Good organizational and time management skills -Ability to work independently and as part of a team If this role is permanent, gap personnel is operating as the employment agency.
