<div><h3>Job Overview</h3><p>The Department of Medical Physics and Bioengineering is recruiting a friendly, efficient and self‑motivated individual to support the PET‑CT scanning service. The role may also involve additional administrative duties across the department when required. The position is permanent, part‑time, with working days on Wednesdays and Thursdays.</p><h3>Main Duties</h3><ul><li>Contact patients by phone and record responses to questionnaires.</li><li>Make appointments (including preparation of appointment letters/envelopes, scanning in necessary paperwork, preparing and printing lists, finding and copying reports and forwarding images). Training will be provided.</li><li>Operate hospital systems such as the Radiology Information System and other external systems. This includes data entry into spreadsheets and supporting reporting.</li><li>Use own initiative to reschedule or rearrange appointments due to cancellation, late referrals or urgent patient requests.</li><li>Ensure accurate paper and electronic records are maintained and stored appropriately, including the PET/CT spreadsheet and patient satisfaction survey spreadsheet.</li><li>Use the Image Exchange Portal to send images.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><b>Essential Criteria</b></p><ul><li>NVQ Level 3, A Levels or equivalent relevant experience.</li><li>GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.</li><li>Previous administrative role.</li><li>Knowledge of good office and administrative practice.</li><li>Computer‑literate: able to use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, email) efficiently.</li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria</b></p><ul><li>Knowledge of the hospital Soliton system.</li><li>Reception or customer service experience in a healthcare setting.</li><li>Minimum of 1 year reception or customer service experience.</li><li>Able to undertake basic statistical analysis and present data clearly.</li></ul><h3>Right to Work</h3><p>Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK may not be considered unless an alternative right to work solution can be provided.
