Teaching Assistant - SEN & SEMH Support
Location: Derby (DE3)
Pay: £90 - £100 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm)

Long Term Futures are working with a specialist provision in the DE3 area of Derby, seeking two dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team. The school caters for students aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs including autism, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and complex learning challenges.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who's calm, adaptable and committed to helping young people succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning within the classroom and during small group or 1:1 sessions.
Help students develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons and interventions.
Promote independence and inclusion, adapting support to meet individual needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and therapists to deliver effective support.
Contribute to tracking and recording pupil progress and wellbeing.
Ideal Candidate
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, SEMH or additional needs.
A calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour management.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply - Long Term Futures can support with this).
