Job Description:
RPS is expanding and seeking Graduate Wastewater Engineers, Modellers, and Planners to join our Derby, Sheffield, and Newcastle offices. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development in a supportive environment, with a start date ideally in October 2024.
The graduate roles will involve office and home-based work, with opportunities for site visits for data collection. Career pathways include Wastewater Engineering, Modelling, and Planning at locations in Derby, Sheffield, and Newcastle.
Your Responsibilities:
* Data handling and analysis of large datasets
* Survey planning and supervision
* Use of GIS software such as MapInfo, QGIS, and ArcGIS
* Statistical analysis and report preparation
* Construction and verification of hydraulic sewer network models using InfoWorks ICM
* Catchment modelling including pluvial, fluvial, and river-sewer interactions
* Catchment planning, risk assessment, and intervention strategies
* Client and stakeholder engagement
* Development and documentation of bespoke software tools
About You:
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or Environmental Science
* Modules in wastewater, hydraulics, GIS, or flood risk are desirable
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Proficiency in Excel and computing skills
