There are currently only ten similar services in the UK.

To take a lead on and provide evidenced based Speech and Language Therapy assessment, treatment and intervention to patients and their carer's.

To work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide specialised programmes of care for patients on the caseload and provide specialist input into case conferences, regional multi-disciplinary team meetings and outpatient clinics as appropriate.
