Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Southampton
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 + Car allowance + Pension + Holiday
Start Date: May / June
Our client is currently looking to hire an experienced Project Manager for a few recently secured schemes on the South Coast. This local contractor will kick off in Q2 a new university building & this requires a seasoned project with first hand experience within the Educational sector.
About the Project:
1. The construction of a state-of-the-art educational facility, integrating modern design with innovative teaching spaces.
2. providing new sports facilities, changing rooms, kitchens with some external landscaping required.
3. Additionally, there will be refurbishment work carried out to enhance existing infrastructure.
4. Value: £20 Million
Role Responsibilities:
5. Project Leadership: Take charge of the project from conception to completion, overseeing all aspects of construction activities, budget management, scheduling, and quality control.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project objectives are met and expectations are exceeded.
7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the safety of personnel and adherence to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
8. Team Management: Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and safety on the construction site.
