Product Owner - AI Productivity Platform for Financial Advisers

Summary
We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the end-to-end delivery of our Assist solution. Assist automates routine work for Financial Advisors, Paraplanners and Administrators, freeing up more time to focus on clients. The product spans meeting management, fact find and document creation and has an exciting roadmap of innovations for the sector.
This role will own day-to-day execution, from backlog management and product testing to stakeholder communication and process improvement, helping us maintain delivery pace and product quality. You’ll work closely with Engineering, QA, and the Senior Product Manager to translate priorities into well-defined work, validate releases, and ensure clear communication across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Requirements Translation: Develop product requirements documents (PRDs) into detailed Epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, by working with engineering and design teams. Ensure work is well-scoped, estimated and aligned with business priorities.
* Refinement Management: Lead the refinement process—including technical trade-offs, design production, and validation—to ensure all work is actionable and aligned with business priorities.
* Squad Integration: Serve as the primary partner for engineers, attending all squad ceremonies and facilitating smooth progress by removing blockers throughout the development lifecycle.
* Quality Assurance: Support QA processes on staging environments and conduct comprehensive acceptance testing, involving the Senior Product Manager for sign-off when needed.
* Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain technical documentation and user enablement materials, ensuring clear communication and alignment across internal teams.
* User Enablement: Coordinate rollout documentation and training guides for customer success and end users.
* Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in sprint ceremonies and feedback loops, monitoring trends across delivery, identifying areas for process and product enhancement, and collaborating on roadmap priorities.
* Stakeholder Communication: Contribute to regular roadmap reviews and release communications, integrating customer and business feedback into ongoing development.
What We’re Looking For
* Solid experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a SaaS or tech-led environment, ideally in wealth, financial advice, meeting transcription and summarisation or a related frontline discipline of professional services.
* Working knowledge of the financial services back office environment and use cases for automation.
* Strong technical acumen; ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development plans.
* Proven experience managing complex backlogs and competing priorities
* Excellent collaboration skills - able to work effectively with engineers, designers and senior stakeholders
* Exposure to client-facing teams (e.g. Customer Success, Sales, or Implementation) and comfort supporting occasional demos or feedback sessions
* Demonstrated ownership of delivery and release process with a strong eye for detail ensuring work released meets high quality
* Experience working with AI models and agents is a distinct advantage.
* Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams.
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
* Passion for AI, automation, and delivering impactful solutions within regulated industries.
* Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Productboard
