Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 5 registered nurse to join the Community Nursing Team based at Campbeltown Hospital, situated on the Kintyre peninsula on the west coast of Scotland.
Responsibilities
* Care and caseload management adopting a clinically effective approach to all areas of practice.
* Deliver care throughout the Kintyre peninsula using a holistic approach to assess, identify and prioritise health needs within the home environment and wider community setting.
* Coordinate prevention of admission and hospital discharge, involving users in service planning and delivery.
* Provide skilled clinical interventions, health education and promotion to maintain optimum independent living in the community.
Qualifications & Experience
* Must be NMC registered.
* Possess excellent clinical assessment skills.
* Experience of providing palliative care would be advantageous.
Benefits & Working Hours
* Effective from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours, with part‑time hours adjusted pro‑rata. Pay will be increased hourly to ensure compensation remains unaffected.
