Job number: BU03866. Grade 7 salary: £38,249 – £45,413 per annum. Contract duration: until 30/03/2026. Responsible to: Student Success Manager. Closing date: 31 October 2025. The successful candidate will commence as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver high quality interventions across the university, including creating a network of Enterprise Champions to provide expertise in enterprise and entrepreneurship education.
* Record all activities in the Careers & Employability Service online system CareerConnect for tracking, monitoring and reporting.
* Collaborate with Enterprise Champions from other HE institutions to design workshops and teaching material to increase internal capacity to deliver enterprise education.
* Contribute to the development of programmes, using innovative teaching, learning support and assessment methods such as live industry-based projects and problem-based learning.
* Provide one-to-one mentoring, group support, and events for students and graduates who are starting or running businesses.
* Write funding bids, delivery plans and report to external funders; manage budgets and financial claims.
* Represent the university at external events and maintain collaborative links with stakeholders, professional bodies and networks.
* Work with the SU to support student-led enterprise events and develop a Freelancer Society.
* Monitor impact using data-driven measures and continuous service improvement.
* Perform any other duties appropriate to the grade, as directed by line management.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide support to the Student Services & Administration Directorate as directed.
* Participate in performance review and developmental activities.

* Ensure health, safety and wellbeing compliance, adhere to legal and financial policies, and support audit and evaluation processes.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area.
* Project management experience delivering externally funded projects with clear targets and budget oversight.
* Experience in a HE or FE setting, particularly in employability, enterprise, or careers education.
* One-to-one advice or coaching on self-employment, business start-up or freelance work.
* Designing and delivering enterprise or employability workshops.
* Familiarity with widening participation and inclusive education strategies.
* Coordinating and facilitating workshops and online webinars.
* Experience working in a bilingual environment.
* Proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Desirable:
* Postgraduate or professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Coaching or mentoring qualification.
* Membership of IOEE or Fellow status of EEUK or similar professional recognition.
* Experience with marketing and social media, including Canva skills.
* Ability to travel when required.
Skills & Abilities
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Organised, methodical and able to work independently with strong time management.
* Effective people management and team working skills.
* Excellent IT and administration skills.
* Confident in speaking Welsh to carry out certain tasks.
