Job Description Who will you be working with? Bearward Engineering is a Northampton based firm manufacturing radiators for the power generation industry. About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Kitter & Stock Controller to join our production team on the 0600-1400 shift. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth flow of parts from stores to production, while maintaining accurate stock control and enforcing process compliance on the shop floor. Responsible for preparing kits of components for engineering builds, delivering them to operators, and ensuring all issued parts are tracked, returned, or reported correctly, operating a Forklift to move stock and support wider warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Pick and prepare kits of parts based on production requirements and BOMs. Deliver kits to the shop floor and ensure correct issue of components. Monitor and record stock usage, scrap, and returns from production. Enforce stock control processes and challenge deviations constructively. Operate a forklift to move goods safely and efficiently. Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock checks. Communicate with production and stores to resolve part discrepancies. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Skills & Experience Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or kitting role (engineering environment preferred). Strong attention to detail and commitment to process compliance. Confident communicator with the ability to challenge constructively. Forklift license (or willingness to train). Driver's license Basic computer literacy (e.g., using stock systems or spreadsheets). Understanding of stock control principles and traceability. What about the physical demands of the job? A manual environment, lifting heavy equipment with magnetic hoists and chain/strap hoists.
