Hays are working with a well known business in Shropshire who are looking to recruit on a permanent basis/ We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Day Planner to join our fast-paced transport team. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy transport office, managing a fleet of 60+ vehicles. This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent IT proficiency, and the ability to thrive under pressure while making confident decisions.
Your new role
As a Transport Planner your role will involve:
1. Assist transport planners with daily route scheduling and optimisation for a fleet of 60+ vehicles.
2. Ensure all collections and deliveries arepleted on time and in fullpliance with driver hours regulations.
3. Monitor and update transport schedules, addressing any changes or disruptions promptly.
4. Liaise with the in-house customer service team to resolve delivery issues and maintain high service standards.
5. Maintain accurate records and data entry within transport management systems.
6. Support the team with administrative tasks and reporting as required.
