Customer Service Engineer
We are looking for a Customer Service Engineer to work at our busy facility in Marple. This is a new position, created due to the strong growth seen during 2023.

At Marple, we mainly supply to the Aerospace and Energy Markets. As a Customer Service Engineer, you will provide administrative customer service support and ensure high levels of satisfaction for our customers along with providing support to our internal departments.
This position would suit an experienced administrator within a manufacturing ( ideally aerospace) environment who is looking to develop their career.
Your Responsibilities
1. To provide a ‘best in class’, efficient & responsive service to our global customer base.
2. Perform administrative duties to support the full cycle of customer orders from receipt, processing & loading RFQ’s, customer orders and invoices through IT systems.
3. Provide support to our internal teams in the generation of quotations in line with market conditions, customer and business requirements.
4. To support in the development of orders and assist with prioritisation of these for the internal business.
5. Collate data and feedback to support customer queries and deliver in a timely manner.
6. Customer liaison & support.
7. Utilisation of ERP/MRP systems (Eg. Syspro) to ensure all customer requests are managed and processed effectively.
8. Inter-departmental communication & support.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations, directives and legislation.
Your Profile
Essential skills
10. You will have worked in a technical environment from a highly regulated industry: Aerospace (preferable), Automotive, Marine, Defense.
11. You should be able to understand engineering and production terminology.
12. You will have had exposure to roles in Customer Service, where support and interaction was provided to customers to deliver products and services.
13. Strong IT skills– ERP systems and Microsoft and be able to deliver regular reports.
Desirable skills
14. It would be beneficial if you have commercial experience with the ability to understand and work to contract requirements.
15. Ideally, you will have Export Trade Control experience.
16. Niche/bespoke mechanical engineering and manufacturing/business experience.
