As part of their continued investment in financial excellence, they are seeking a dynamic and proactive Finance Business Partner to join their Finance Directorate.
Your new role Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the delivery of the Medium-Term Financial Plan
2. Leading on budget planning, monitoring, and year-end accounts
3. Acting as a key financial advisor to service areas and project teams
4. Providing high-quality financial analysis and reporting
5. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
6. Supporting system implementations and process improvements
7. Line-managing finance staff and contributing to team development
8. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including HR, procurement, and audit
What you'll need to succeed Essential experience and qualifications:
9. Fully or part-qualified CCAB accountant (or equivalent) or extensive relevant experience
10. Strong background in financial management, preferably in the public sector
11. Proven experience in budgetary control, financial planning, and reporting
12. Experience working with service managers to link operational and financial data
13. Knowledge of financial accounting standards and legislation
Key skills and attributes:
14. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
15. Strong communication skills - able to explain complex financial issues clearly
16. Proficient in IT systems, including spreadsheets and general ledger packages
17. Ability to lead, motivate and develop team members
18. Innovative and proactive approach to financial service delivery
19. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
