Salary: £37,868 – £56,154 per year
Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary of £56,154 is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3.
Teach Now is recruiting a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Brent. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a thriving Science department, delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to explore and understand the world through scientific enquiry.
The successful candidate will teach General Science across Key Stages 3–5, supporting students of all abilities to develop strong knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and Physics while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level success.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3–KS5
• Plan and prepare engaging lessons for mixed-ability learners
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations
• Promote scientific enquiry, curiosity and critical thinking in the classroom
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
• Participate in school events, enrichment activities and parents’ evenings

Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in Science or a related subject
• Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
• Experience teaching A-Level Science or contributing to STEM enrichment activities would be advantageous.
