Eventus Legal Private Client Paralegal
Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Paralegal to join a growing Legal 500 law firm in Chester on a full‑time, permanent basis. This role offers a salary of £25,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience), excellent benefits including 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, Christmas closure, Medicash, a holiday purchase scheme, and hybrid and flexible working options. Working hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am to 4:30pm on Fridays.
About the Role
This Private Client Paralegal job in Chester offers a varied and hands‑on position within a busy Private Client team, supporting fee earners across a broad range of trusts and estates matters.
Responsibilities
* Opening and maintaining files in accordance with risk management and compliance procedures
* Assisting with drafting wills, trusts, codicils and related documentation
* Supporting probate matters including preparation of applications and estate administration documents
* Liaising with clients to take initial instructions and assist with routine enquiries
* Attending meetings with fee earners and taking detailed notes
* Drafting correspondence and client care documentation
* Preparing legal forms using case management systems and legal software
* Liaising with third parties including financial institutions and government bodies
* Ordering key documents such as birth, death and marriage certificates
* Assisting with gathering estate information and asset details
* Managing diaries, booking appointments and organising meetings
* Maintaining accurate filing systems, both digital and physical
* Handling calls and correspondence in a professional and client‑focused manner
About You
This Private Client Paralegal job in Chester would suit someone with previous experience in a Private Client or Trusts & Estates setting, who is confident supporting fee earners and managing a varied workload.
* Previous experience working as a Paralegal, ideally within Private Client or Trusts & Estates
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to use initiative and work proactively
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and case management systems
* Confident communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues
* A professional and client‑focused approach
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
