This is a high-impact, commercially driven role focused on owning, growing, and optimising a portfolio of active partners already generating business. The emphasis is on long-term relationship development, revenue acceleration, partner loyalty, and deeper technical and commercial integration.
This individual will operate as a trusted commercial advisor — ensuring partners choose the business first, scale faster, and embed payments more deeply into their propositions.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner Portfolio Ownership & Relationship Management
The successful candidate will:
* Own a defined portfolio of ISO partners actively sending business.
* Build strong, senior-level relationships across sales, operations, technology, and leadership teams.
* Take full accountability for partner performance, satisfaction, and revenue growth.
* Develop a deep understanding of each partner's:
* Business model
* Target markets and verticals
* Sales motion and operational constraints
* Commercial drivers and incentives
This is about true ownership — not maintenance, but strategic growth.
2. Revenue Growth, Cross-Sell & Strategic Expansion
The Partner Relationship Manager will:
* Drive deeper technical and commercial embedding with existing partners.
* Identify and progress new integration opportunities, including ISVs, platforms, system integrators, and software-led partners.
* Support vertical growth strategy through high-value, integrated merchant acquisition.

* Enhance merchant quality
* Creating and executing joint growth plans with priority partners.
This is about turning good partnerships into high-performing revenue engines.
* Internal Advocacy & Partner Experience
The Partner Relationship Manager will act as the internal voice of the partner, ensuring:
* Clear escalation paths
* Timely issue resolution
* Strong internal alignment
They will coordinate closely with:
* Onboarding & Implementations
* Risk & Compliance
* Customer Success
* Product & Technology
* Legal and Marketing
They will also feed structured partner insights into product roadmap decisions, process improvements, and commercial strategy discussions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio with clear revenue and activity targets.
* Running structured partner reviews focused on performance, pipeline, and growth.
* Analysing partner data to identify trends, risks, and upsell opportunities.
* Supporting onboarding, integrations, and complex merchant opportunities.
* Progressing technical integration conversations where suitable.
* Proactively resolving issues before they impact volume or sentiment.
* Collaborating with New Business teams to ensure smooth handovers.
* Maintaining accurate CRM records for forecasting and reporting.
* Representing the business in partner meetings, events, and strategic sessions.
Ideal Experience
The successful candidate will bring:
* Proven experience in partner account management within payments, acquiring, fintech, or SaaS.
* Strong understanding of:
* Card acquiring
* Payment gateways
* Integrated / embedded payments
* Experience managing revenue-generating partner portfolios.
* Demonstrated ability to grow accounts, not simply retain them.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
* Confidence operating within regulated environments.
* A commercial, data-driven mindset.
* Experience working with ISOs, ISVs, or platform partners.
* Exposure to API-led or software-integrated payment models.
