A day in the life of a Murphy Lifting Manager:
Providing expert leadership and assurance for lifting operations across multiple live projects
Ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency
Preparing and reviewing lift plans for a wide range of lifting operations
Approving lift plans from internal teams and contract lift providers
Ensuring compliance with the Murphy Lifting Operations Procedure
Conducting technical reviews Appointed Persons and Lifting Supervisors.
Working closely with the SHES team to drive best practice and continual improvement
Coordinating with Murphy Plant to secure suitable and compliant lifting equipment
Ensure close links with Murphy plant to secure correct lifting equipment on our projects.
Supporting constructability reviews and methodology planning from design through delivery
Representing AMP8 at Group Fatal and Severe Risk (FSR) working group
Driving standardisation and efficiency in lifting planning processes

Minimum 7 years’ experience operating as an Appointed Person within civil engineering or infrastructure environments.
Hold a CPCS Appointed Person/Competent Operator qualification or equivalent.
Experience within the water industry or major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
Strong technical knowledge of lifting operations, legislation, and risk management
Able to communicate complex lifting methodologies, clearly, both verbally and in written form, to a range of stakeholders
Collaborative and professional approach with a strong commitment to safety and compliance
Competent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications
