Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant – Newport
Are you a Sports graduate looking to take your first steps into education? We are currently recruiting for a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant to work across a range of welcoming primary and SEN schools in the Newport area. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people, build key skills, and gain valuable classroom experience.
As a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in encouraging physical activity, supporting classroom learning, and promoting positive behaviour and well-being. Whether you're working one-to-one, in small groups, or helping to manage the overall classroom environment, your background in sports will be a great asset in building relationships and motivating pupils.
You will have the opportunity to work in a cluster of schools that share a supportive ethos. These settings promote independence in learners and have staff teams experienced in working with graduates who are new to education.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant who:
1. Holds a degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field
2. Has a keen interest in working with primary-aged children and those with special educational needs
3. Brings energy, positivity, and a proactive approach to the school day
4. Communicates confidently and builds strong relationships with staff and pupils
5. Is enthusiastic about learning and professional development
