Job Title - Senior Maintenance Surveyor Location - Durham Salary - Daily Rate £200.00 per day Type - Full-time, Contract About the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Maintenance Surveyor to join our property services team in Durham. This is a key leadership role responsible for the effective delivery of maintenance services across our housing portfolio. You’ll take the lead on diagnosing building defects, managing responsive repairs, and delivering high-quality maintenance solutions that ensure our properties are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage property inspections, identifying maintenance requirements and planning remedial works. Oversee the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance programs. Manage contractors and in-house teams, ensuring quality standards, compliance, and value for money. Provide technical advice to colleagues, tenants, and stakeholders. Contribute to budget planning and cost control, ensuring financial efficiency in all maintenance activities. Ensure all work is compliant with relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, and internal policies. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a similar surveying or maintenance management role. HNC/HND or degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Excellent knowledge of building pathology, housing maintenance, and relevant legislation. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Membership of MRICS, CIOB, or similar professional body is desirable
