Childrens Residential Support Worker Location - Northfield About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of a respected provider of residential care for children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges. As a Child Care Practitioner, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care within a nurturing environment that promotes safety, independence, and positive outcomes. Youll work as part of a supportive and experienced team, helping young people reach their full potential and develop essential life skills. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to children and young people. Promote positive behaviour, independence, and personal development. Support with education, activities, and daily routines. Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals. Complete accurate records and contribute to individual care plans. Work within shift patterns, including sleep-ins (£50 per sleep-in). Requirements Essential: Experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Flexibility to work shifts and sleep-ins. Desirable: Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce (or equivalent). Previous experience in a residential childcare environment. If you dont yet hold your Level 3 qualification, full support and funded training will be provided. Whats on Offer Hourly rate: £12.31 £13.01 per hour. Sleep-in payment: £50 per night.
