JOB PURPOSE
We are hiring an RTR Accountant to join Burberry Business Services, supporting the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting. This role plays a key part in delivering high‑quality month‑end and balance sheet outcomes that underpin confident decision‑making across Burberry. You will work at the intersection of precision, collaboration and continuous improvement within a global luxury business. Based in Leeds, this is an opportunity to build strong technical foundations while contributing to a modern finance function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver accurate and timely month‑end journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll and provisions.
* Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, resolving reconciling items with clarity and pace.
* Support cash flow forecasting and reporting, providing clear analysis of movements.
* Produce RTR reporting to meet internal and external requirements.
* Respond to ad‑hoc queries with well‑considered analysis, prioritising effectively during close cycles.
* Identify and support improvements to processes, controls and documentation in partnership with Finance and BBS colleagues.
PERSONAL PROFILE
* Part‑qualified accountant, studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or willingness to begin studies.
* Sound understanding of month‑end close and balance sheet accounting principles.
* Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting audit processes.
* Confident working with data in Excel, with the ability to explain movements clearly.
* Curious, detail‑focused and motivated to develop technical knowledge and ownership.
