The Role
We're seeking a highly organised and empathetic Legal Administrator/Paralegal to join our specialist settlement agreement team. This is a fast-paced role where you'll handle 8+ cases daily, providing exceptional support to clients during one of the most challenging times in their careers.
You'll be the first point of contact for clients facing the loss of their job through the use of a settlement agreement, guiding them through our streamlined legal process with warmth, care, empathy and efficiency. Using our cutting-edge legal technology platform, you'll ensure every client receives the same outstanding service that has made us the UK's most trusted law firm.
What You'll Do
Client Journey Management
* Convert initial enquiries into cases, ensuring accurate data capture and verification
* Check and verify client identification documents and settlement agreements
* Manage case progression from initial enquiry to onboarding to case completion, using our bespoke case management software
* Schedule solicitor appointments and coordinate client communications
* Maintain meticulous case records and ensure all documentation meets compliance standards
* Provide empathetic support to clients experiencing job loss
* Handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and emotional intelligence
* Guide clients through every step of our process, ensuring they feel fully supported throughout
* Respond to client queries by telephone and email with the appropriate urgency, maintaining our exceptional service standards
* Transform potentially distressing situations into positive client experiences
* Support advising solicitors by preparing legal advice letters and case documentation
* Liaise with employer contacts and their legal representatives professionally
* Respond to client queries and coordinate communication between all parties
* Process high volumes of legal documentation with 100% accuracy
* Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
* Execute quality control checks on all client documentation
* Ensure GDPR and SRA compliance and maintain confidentiality at all times
* Complete ID verification and sanctions checks
* Identify opportunities to enhance our client experience and processes
* Embrace and master new legal technology tools, including our custom AI applications
* Contribute feedback to improve our case management systems
* Share best practices with team members to elevate overall service delivery

What You'll Need
Essential Experience & Skills
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a legal environment, ideally with a customer-focused law firm or legal services provider
* Demonstrable track record of delivering exceptional client service in a professional environment
* Proven ability to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
* Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
* Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
* Strong IT literacy including experience with case management systems
* Typing speed of 50+ words per minute

Technical Requirements
* Reliable high-speed broadband connection
* Quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for confidential client calls
* Available to work core hours of 9am - 6:00pm UK time
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience with settlement agreements or employment law
* Background in client-facing roles at progressive law firms that prioritise exceptional customer service
* Experience in high-end customer service, hospitality, or luxury retail environments
* Paralegal qualification or legal secretary training
* Track record of achieving customer satisfaction targets or positive client feedback
* Familiarity with CRM or case management systems
* Experience working in a remote-first environment
