Job description
Overview
This role is responsible for managing and maintaining all on-site IT systems, infrastructure, and services. As IT Manager, you will lead local IT operations, support incident resolution, oversee upgrades, and ensure systems are secure and compliant with company-wide standards. You'll also represent the site in broader IT projects and initiatives.
This is a hands-on position within a matrix structure, reporting both locally and to the wider IT infrastructure team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and support local IT systems, workstations, and services
2. Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and operational standards
3. Manage hardware and software updates, including data backup and recovery processes
4. Support crisis management efforts and coordinate incident resolution
5. Monitor system performance and implement improvement plans
6. Manage the IT budget and track expenditures
7. Act as the main point of contact for deploying IT solutions at the site
8. Lead, plan, and coordinate the local IT team's activities
What We're Looking For
9. Strong background in IT within a manufacturing or industrial setting
10. Experience with production-related systems and tools (e.g. Kanban, Andon)
11. Practical knowledge of managing complex IT environments
12. Proven team leadership and project management skills
13. Understanding of compliance, risk management, and system security
14. Ability to use data to drive decisions and improve performance
15. Degree in IT, Information Systems, or relevant industry experience
