Around since, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. Today, we operate over 70 services in communities across Scotland, providing mental health social care support, addictions and employment services, among others. Together with national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention, and physical activity and sport, these services inform SAMH’s policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

Location: Fife care at Home and housing support

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Salary: £29, - £33, (Salary point 25-29)

*Whilst this is a scale for progression, the starting salary is point 25

About the Role

Fife Care At Home & Housing Support Service provides support to people who have severe and enduring mental health issues, over two locations in Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy. We work with people in their own homes and our service operates seven days a week with a sleepover at each location. We also provide a specialist outreach service. The support provided is flexible and aimed at meeting the needs of individuals when they most need it. It can include emotional and social support and assistance with daily tasks. We also support individuals to access community resources and educational/voluntary/ employment opportunities.

The team leader’s role will form part of the service management team and work to support the Service Manager to contribute to the work of the Operational Leadership Team.

Will provide leadership, management and supervision of direct reports

Co-operate with wider members of the Operational Leadership Team and Senior Management Team.

Will develop and sustain key external partnerships with colleagues from Local Authorities, Health Boards, external scrutiny bodies and other voluntary organisations to enhance SAMH service provision.

· What we are looking for:

· Demonstrate positive leadership and management attributes. Have excellent verbal and written skills.

· The ability to build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate a flexible, personalised approach to supporting people.

· Ability to balance competing priorities within tight timescales

· Work flexibly across 2 locations

· Work to current shift pattern when required including sleepovers.

· Participate on Management on call
