We are working with a well-established and friendly finance team based in Norwich who are looking to recruit a proactive Accounts Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, supportive team providing professional accounting services to a range of local businesses and individuals.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate bookkeeping and prepare VAT returns for assigned clients
* Assist with the preparation of accounts for small businesses, partnerships, and sole traders
* Be the first point of contact for assigned clients, answering queries and requesting necessary information
* Build and maintain strong professional relationships with both clients and colleagues
* Support the team with day-to-day accounting tasks as required
About You
* Previous experience with bookkeeping, VAT, and small business accounts preparation
* Comfortable liaising with clients in a professional and friendly manner
* Knowledge of business tax is desirable but not essential
* Familiarity with cloud accounting software is a plus
* Qualified by examination or through practical experience
