Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Sandy Job Type: Permanent, Full Time - 39hrs per week Salary: £18.50 per hour Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in a respected Engineering and Manufacturing Company? We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients dedicated team and contribute to maintaining and improving their diverse range of engineering machinery. About the Role: This hands-on role involves: Working with various engineering machinery. Managing breakdowns and following monthly maintenance schedules. Utilising both mechanical and electrical skills (mechanical bias required). Collaborating within a team either in our main production area or occasionally on a client’s site. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring machinery is running smoothly while adhering to health and safety standards, maintaining production efficiency, and upholding discipline. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and repair machinery including Machine Shop Mills, Lathes, Drills, and Sheet-Metal & Fabricating machines. Assemble and fit new equipment as required. Carry out electrical works across the site. Perform plumbing tasks and general site maintenance. Respond to machinery breakdowns swiftly and effectively. Ensure quality engineering practices in all tasks. Uphold safety, hygiene, and attendance standards. Working Hours Mon: 7.30am - 4pm Tues: 7.30am - 4.30pm Weds & Thurs: 7.30am - 5pm Fri: 7.30am - 12pm Contracted Hours: 39 hours/week Breaks: 10am - 10.10 am (10-minute morning break) & 1pm – 1.30pm (30-minute lunch break) Overtime is generally available and is paid at 1.5x the hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings.
