We are looking for a highly skilled teacher who is passionate about improving life chances for all to ensure positives outcomes for children and young people. As a Learning Support Teacher in Fife, you will work with school-based staff, the school leadership team and a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that pupils are fully included in their school community. As a Learning Support Teacher, you will:
1. Provide short term focused support.
2. Work collaboratively with colleagues.
3. Consult with a wide range of stakeholders.
4. Support staff development.

Qualification, Registration and Skill Requirements
5. You are required to have high levels of interpersonal skills and abilities which will enable you to work as a member of the school team to support pupils and families.
6. You will contribute and lead on areas school improvement.
7. You are required to demonstrate a commitment to your own professional learning through career-long professional learning activity and to be able to show how this has impacted on your practice.
8. Full General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) registration.
9. For posts within primary, you are required to be fully registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in primary.
10. For posts within secondary you are required to be fully registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in secondary for the specific subject.
11. You are required to model all behaviour expected of a Teacher in Scotland in line with the relevant Professional Standards.
12. Full registration is required for all permanent posts, for temporary class teacher posts, provisional GTCS registration in the relevant sector will be considered.
13. Candidates holding GTCS registration in further education must also hold primary or secondary registration to meet the essential criteria as determined by Fife Council. For teaching specific subjects you must be fully registered with GTCS to teach those subjects.
