Job Description
Concierge
The Concierge is a specialized guest services representative responsible for providing a wide range of services, including travel arrangements, tourist information, and fulfilling guest needs to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Guest Services, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Operating the concierge desk professionally, providing prompt and courteous service
* Assisting guests with tours, golf, restaurant bookings, flight arrangements, and modifications
* Providing directional information and recommendations for shopping and attractions
* Handling mail, messages, and lost & found items
* Maintaining hotel and local brochures
* Managing limousine bookings, billing, and revenue forecasting
* Handling administrative tasks related to the shift
* Meeting hotel service standards
* Performing additional tasks as assigned
Providing a Guest Concierge Experience that Exceeds Expectations
* Adhering to LQA service standards
* Offering information and assistance proactively
* Practicing active listening, self-control, and empathy in interactions
* Organizing special arrangements for occasions like birthdays and anniversaries
* Leading a Heartist approach to service
Concierge Desk and Miscellaneous Duties
* Making reservations using local booking systems for theatre, airlines, transportation
* Assisting guests with government, immigration, and visa requirements
* Being knowledgeable about Singapore’s attractions and commercial centers
* Using hotel computer systems and internet resources effectively
* Participating in departmental and operational meetings
* Handling guest requests and complaints professionally
Team Involvement
* Maintaining grooming standards
* Ensuring work areas are stocked, organized, and clean
* Using communication tools efficiently
* Following safety and security procedures
* Managing telephone inquiries and requests promptly
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience in the service industry
* Knowledge of Opera system and related hotel systems
* Customer service focus, detail-oriented, and performance-driven
* Adaptable and proactive in overcoming challenges
* Strong partnership skills across departments
* Friendly, engaging attitude with excellent guest relations skills
* Confident in English, with good interpersonal skills
* Independent and motivated
